Ribbon Pulling Charms

"Ribbon pulling" is a lovely Victorian custom. The bride asks her baker to hide the charms in a special layer of the wedding cake with ribbons draped outward. Each bridesmaid pulls a ribbon and discovers the charm that tells her fortune (e.g. an anchor for adventure). Also a fun addition to a bridal shower.
